Sewing for mama!
I made this dress two weeks ago. It was a LOT of smocking, cause, well - there is a lot on top! I've made these dresses for the girls and finally one for myself. Super easy and great for the summer.

This kind of skirt
Is one of my go to mama made gifts. It's just an appliqued retangle with some elastic. That's all! Addy has a ton of them. Oh so satisfying. I've got more to make this week!

Ruffle night gown
No pattern was used for this but inspiration was! Jean over at the artful parent has made some of these dresses for her daughter repurposing stained shirts. Addy didn't have any night gowns this year and her long sleeve/pant pjs weren't cutting it. So, I used an old, stained on the tummy undershirt for the top. Cut the bottom off and attatched the skirt. Addy likes it and it is nice and cool for her. The shirt was also a little big so this should fit until it gets cold out again. Hope you like it!

Baby bloomers
these are totally this summer's uniform. I love that the size I make for Elliot also fits Addysen. The pattern is from Weekend Sewing, by Heather Ross. I love that book! I've made so many things from it!

Some pictures
These are just a few pictures I had taken back in April that I wanted to share. I do love my camera!

our hospital stay
I know it's been over a month since we've been in the hospital but I really wanted to share these pictures. I did take a few while we were there and it might seem a little odd. I just wanted to be able to show Addy when she gets older that this was when our lives flipped over. I'm happy to have them.

driving
All I can say is that Kaitlin is awesome and so fun to be around! Since my brother left for basic she's been hanging around more and I love it! She doesn't mind going on goofy drives with me to just waist time and look at the beauty all around us. The girls love her, too. I think she might be a keeper :)

Oh, flowers
Where do you get yours? I get mine from all over, usually on the side of the road or from our walks. I carry some pruning shears and a half full bottle of water in my car just in case I find something pretty.

Dear Elliot,
I've told you more than once that we do not ride tigers! You do not listen though, do you? I caught you again going for a tiger ride. I do not think you will ever learn. You sure are a busy one, Elliot. You like to play now more than being held and I cannot believe that seven months have already gone by with you. I love you Elliot, the tiger rider.

Muller's Lane Farm
Yesterday the girls and I went for a visit to a dear old friend's farm. I had been wanting to go out here for the past year and finally went! Her son and my brother had been friends for years and we had once even been neighbors!
Addy got to chase the chickens, (her favorite part), and I got to knit, (my favorite part.) It was just a great day and we had so much fun! Thank you so much Cyndi! I cannot wait to do it again!
